The Neighborlogs team believes there is a lot of potential in collaboration between local news and information blogs and small and local businesses. This morning, I got to see how some of that collaboration will take shape. I was part of a digital marketing workshop focused on small and local businesses organized by my neighborhood's chamber of commerce. I shared the stage with Michael van Baker, editor for our local city blog, Seattlest. He got stuck with the nitty gritty slides about online advertising. I got to wax philosophical about my experiences running CapitolHillSeattle.com and the best ways for small businesses and local organizations to get involved with the new local media.
